It has been a while since my last post. As you can imagine I have been busy entertaining a very energetic 3 year old for the summer holidays. She starts back on Friday and I am looking forward to having 5 mornings a week of peace!
Over these holidays, Baby Bits has started walking! He took his first steps aged 10 months and was walking properly at 11 months and 1 week. Which got me to thinking about the dreaded Nursery Run!
Before we know it, he will have gained enough confidence to be toddling off, amongst all the other children. So it is time to dust off Little Bits' treasured Puppy Harness, and get it ready to be used by Baby Bits. I will then know he is safe and cannot venture too far, yet he will think he has his independence and can pretty much do his own thing.
Did you have a baby over the summer? If your nursery is anything like ours, we cannot take buggies inside. Which often left me wondering what you are supposed to do with Baby. For a while, I could carry him but as he got heavier, trying to juggle baby, toddler, paintings and other such creativities became quite an art form. That was when I was introduced to the Kozy Carrier by a friend of mine. backpack frog Problem solved! Baby was safely tucked away, more often than not fast asleep as he was so snug, and both my hands were free to deal with Toddler and her masterpieces!
So now, armed with my Buddies and Kozy's, I am fully prepared for the start of the new term. I wish all you Mummies out there a wonderful first week of complete and utter peace! x

MooSo here we are, one week on, and I have just about recovered from the Charity Walk! The MK Midnight Moo took place last Saturday 18th July - 10 miles around Milton Keynes - and I am very proud to let you all know that I completed it in 3hrs 28mins!
The fastest time was 2hrs 45mins, so I am extremely pleased that we were only 45mins behind. Never in my wildest dreams did I even think I would finish, let alone do it that quickly.
Sunday was filled with extreme pain... by Monday I could at least hobble around the house! The only reminder of it now is a rather horrid looking blood blister on the bottom of my foot. In fact, the memory has faded so quickly, I have pretty much forgotten the pain and signed myself up to do it again next year!
My goal for next year is to do it in 3 hours, and to not look like a beetroot at the end of it!
A huge thank you to those people who sponsored me... I raised an impressive £174! The night as a whole raised around £100,000 for Willen Hospice, which is fantastic.
Speaking of charity events, whilst I was catching up on sleep the day after the Midnight Moo, my friend Ally from Teeny Munchkins was doing the Race for Life. Spurred on by personal reasons, she completed the course in an amazing 37 minutes! She was so pleased with herself that she came home and signed up straight away for the 10k run later this year. If you would like to sponsor her, you can do so here
